I started boxing when I was 12 years old and throughout my career I participated in 175 amateur boxing matches. I got a full scholarship to Northern Michigan University and was coached by 1996 Olympic coach Alfred Mitchell. 

 

I was the winner of:

  • 2 gold medals and a silver medal in the NYS Empire State Games

  • 5 times NYS Golden Glove Champion

  • 3 bronze medals in the United States American Boxing Federation

  • A gold medal in the Eastern Olympic Trials

  • Most outstanding boxer of the Eastern Olympic Trials

  • A silver medal in the Olympic Trials Finals against gold medalist Oscar de la Hoya

 

In January 1994, I turned pro and fought 6 bouts with a record of 5-1 with 5 K0’s. Finally I decided to stop boxing and became a personal boxing trainer.
